Dislivelli is a winery project by Gian Piero Loli, an architect and winemaker, housed in Palazzo Guicciardi, a unique location where history, art, design, nature and innovation converge in a harmonious blend. The stately home in the centre of Sondrio, which hosted Garibaldi in 1859, provides the backdrop for this ambitious venture. Gian Piero cultivates a single hectare of vines in the esteemed cru village of Sassella in Valtellina. His farming methods are biodynamic and regenerative, resulting in wines that are highly expressive of both time and place.

The wine can be described as being of the highest purity and singularity. This is a distinctive and iconic Alpine Nebbiolo from Northern Italy. A far-cry from Barolo, this remarkable alpine Nebbiolo is lighter in color but not in intensity nor complexity, more ethereal and evolving. The wine is aged in terracotta and clay for over a year, resulting in an elegant encapsulation of Nebbiolo. It exhibits perfumed rose and strawberry aromas, followed by complexity and structure on the palate. Flavors of red fruit, such as cherry and wild strawberry, are complemented by notes of licorice and dried herbs on the finish.
